Overview

Treatment planning for patients with lung nodule diagnoses requires multidisciplinary, interprofessional teamwork. Lung Nodule Committee provide coordination and facilitation for these teams to review patient histories together and discuss goals and plans of care. Lung Nodule Committee provide a forum to explore available clinical trials and review new diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.

Credit Designation     St. Luke’s designates this RSS activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

MOC Credit Recognition Statement      Successful completion of a single session of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to points as indicated above.  It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting MOC credit."

Participation Threshold for this activity 

  • Providers (learners) should participate in discussion and decision-making throughout the process of this activity and feel confident that they have sufficiently reviewed treatment options and have landed on the best plan of care for the patient.

  • Evaluation mechanism-An evaluation is provided for MOC diplomates at the conclusion of each session and must be completed for learners seeking MOC credit.

  • Feedback is provided through moderated discussions which includes patient outcome and/or course of treatment for patient.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify appropriate treatments for lung nodule patients
  2. Compare and contrast appropriate treatment for existing or complex patient cases with lung nodule
